Exciting Changes and Important Reminders for the Upcoming Season!

We've had some thrilling races in the Spring and Autumn series, and there's more excitement on the horizon with a few important changes coming up. Let's dive into the details:

Signing on for water sports activities

• Please make sure you log in to your profile to sign on for any water-sports activities.

Sailing Handicap Updates

• PY Handicaps: The RYA has updated the PY Handicaps for the first time since 2020. Your handicap and pursuit start time might have changed, so check at the race hut before hitting the water.
• Fleet Changes:
  • Albacore Fleet: Now split into Gold and Silver fleets, each with their own start times and handicaps.
  • Laser Variants: All Laser variants will sail as one fleet.
  • Aero's: Will now compete in the menagerie fleet due to significant handicap changes.

Club Participation

• Race and Safety Duties: If you're allocated a duty, please show up and support. We've had to cancel activities due to no-shows. Let's keep our club running smoothly!
• Skill Development: Plenty of opportunities to practice and learn new skills. Keep an eye on the notice boards/ emails for upcoming sessions.

Community and Fun

• Summer Fun: Have a fantastic summer! Join in the fun, support those helping in the kitchen and bar, and enjoy Thursday evenings with food and drinks on the terrace as the sun sets.
